The Construction Project Manager’s job is to oversee each project from conception to the finished structure, interfacing with both construction professionals and SecurCare. You must be willing to travel to travel frequently, so reliable transportation is a must. The job includes both hands-on and administrative duties.
Construction Project Manager Responsibilities include but may not be limited to:
Work with the client from the start of each project to ensure you understand the project scope and vision
Oversee the beginning of each turn-key project, including details like permit submission and design evaluations
Create the schedule for each project and match talent to the job
Collaborate with the construction crew to ensure feasibility of each project
Negotiate with vendors, suppliers and subcontractors
Prepare and submit project estimates to appropriate parties.
Construction Project Manager Desired Skills:
Recent experience in construction project management
Ability to read blueprints, structural drawings and plan sets
Advanced understanding of risk management policies and procedures
Extensive experiencing managing budgets for large construction projects
Strong knowledge of construction materials, processes and equipment
Ability to work within established guidelines with little direct supervision.
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with variables in a variety of different situations.
Experience with Microsoft Excel and Word, modern office methods and procedures, filing procedures, and knowledge of general office equipment.
Ability to maintain a good working relationship with all co-workers and the general public and to use good judgment in recognizing scope of authority.
